pill-pressing operation was sentenced to 30 years in federal prison, the U.S. attorney’s office for the Northern District of Texas announced Friday.
As the investigation proceeded, agents found that Warren had purchased more than two dozen kilograms of excipient — an inactive binder used in pill production — in different colors, including blue, white and yellow, the office said. In the following months, agents found that Martinez-Otero, 28, and Rodriguez, 39, also bought several kilograms of excipient.On Aug. 3, agents followed Rodriguez to a storage facility, where he met Warren and Martinez-Otero, prosecutors said.
Warren had fled but was arrested a short time later. In the wreckage, agents found a used pill press covered in blue fentanyl residue.
