The ban applies on flights from the UK to: Alicante, Barcelona, Ibiza, Malaga, Palma and Tenerife South. If you do want to buy booze in the duty-free area, it’ll have to be tagged and stored in the hold for the duration of the flight. Ryanair has said this rule has been put in place ‘to prioritise the comfort and safety’ of your fellow travellers.In emails to customers who’ve booked to travel with the company, Ryanair has said: ‘In order to prioritise the comfort and safety of all passengers, Ryanair will implement the following restrictions on your upcoming flight to Spain:
‘Customers will not be allowed to carry alcohol on board and all cabin baggage will be searched at the boarding gates.
