Tre Donaldson and reserve Sam Walters both scored 13 for Michigan. Donaldson had five assists and Walters was 3 for 6 from beyond the arc. Vladislav Goldin scored 12. Gayle had 11 points and Walters came off the bench to hit two 3-pointers and score eight as Michigan built a 40-30 lead at halftime. Benjamin scored 12 to keep the Texans within striking distance.
