Both of Houston’s losses at Golden 1 Center were stamped by second-half defensive collapses. The Rockets gave up 135 points on Wednesday, then a season-high, only to give up 139 on Friday. In the second game, the Kings improved their shooting percentages and rebounding, increased their assist rate, and doubled their steals and blocks from the first game against the Rockets.
Asked about the success of adjustments, or lack thereof, the Rockets made between the two games, coach Stephen Silas pointed out an inability to contain the Kings’ offense.
