Adult Swim has dropped the Rick and Morty Season 7 clip from the upcoming return of the hit adult-animated series.
The cold open sequence features the return of fan-favorite character Mr. Poopybutthole, who seems to be going through a difficult time. Because of this, he temporarily stays with the Smith family, who are starting to complain about it. It also continues to tease the weird set-up between Jerry and the Beths.“Rick and Morty are back and sounding more like themselves than ever,” reads the synopsis.
The adult animated series follows a sociopathic genius scientist, Rick, who drags his inherently timid grandson Morty on insanely dangerous adventures across the multiverse. Following former series creatorcontroversial dismissal from the show, the titular duo will be voiced by soundalike actors. Apart from Roiland, the series will continue to include the rest of the Smith family, who are voiced by Sarah Chalke as Beth, Chris Parnell as Jerry, and Spencer Grammer as Summer.
