Here to prove there's no age limit on romance, the upcoming debut of " The Golden Bachelorette " will feature 24 distinguished men vying for the heart of 61-year-old Joan Vassos , a fan-favorite from the inaugural season of "The Golden Bachelor."

Among the contestants is 69-year-old Kim, a retired Navy Captain from Seattle. Kim's biography says he "loves spending time on his sailboat and dreams of taking Joan for a romantic ride as the sun goes down." He's a proud dad and grandfather who values integrity, and describes his ideal date as cooking together and then enjoying a good meal in the backyard.

This season's leading lady was initially a contestant on Gerry Turner's season of "The Golden Bachelor," but Joan Vassos opted to leave early to be with her family and welcomed her second grandchild a short time later. She has four children with her husband of 32 years, who passed away in 2021.The PNW has another local connection to the show with 68-year-old Bill, a retired videographer from Portland, Oregon.

The men will convene at the famed 'Bachelor' Mansion in California to embark on their journey for love. Will Kim or Bill win Joan's heart? Will the whirlwind season end with an engagement? Will you be watching it all unfold? Tune into the ABC season debut of "The Golden Bachelorette" on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. on KOMO 4, or watch the next day on Hulu.
