The Vancouver Canucks' star goaltender is still a ways away from returning.
Vancouver Canucks star goaltender Thatcher Demko will reportedly miss training camp and the preseason as he continues to nurse a knee injury suffered in the playoffs,Additionally, Demko's status for the start of the regular season is also in question. Vancouver begins the regular season at home against the Calgary Flames on Oct. 9.
The San Diego native continued to travel with tthe team and even seemed close to returning at some point, but never made it back before the Canucks fell in the second round to the Edmonton Oilers in seven games. However, he did saythat he "probably" would've been available had the Canucks advanced to the Western Conference Final.
