Eugene “Buzzy” Peltola Jr., former regional director of the Bureau of Indian Affairs for Alaska, died early Wednesday, according to a statement from Peltola’s chief of staff.

Mary Peltola’s husband, Eugene “Buzzy” Peltola Jr., died early Wednesday morning after a plane crash in Alaska, according to a statement from her office.Few additional details were immediately available.of the Bureau of Indian Affairs for Alaska, serving in that position from 2017 to 2022.
