Screen Rant is pleased to present the first look at upcoming action film Renegades, distributed by Saban Films. The film is directed by action movie veteran filmmaker Daniel Zirilli and written by Tom Jolliffe, with a story by Jonathan Sothcott, who also produced.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY A story of revenge, Renegades begins with the cold-blooded murder of veteran Green Beret Major Carver . Goram and the international drug gang he controls are behind the crime, and they are threatening Carver's daughter, Judy . When they learn of this, Carver's old special forces comrades – Burton , Peck , Woody , and Harris – will band together for retribution, aided by Sanchez .
As audiences can see in the trailer, they may be older, but their wisdom and experience make them far deadlier than the syndicate can imagine. On a wild ride with lots of panoramic views of the London skyline, the group will take on the savage criminal enterprise in a series of action-packed gunfights. The poster above highlights a group of fighters in their prime, proving it's never too late for some good old-fashioned vengeance.
Renegades was produced by the UK's Shogun Films, who will follow it up with another film to be directed by Zirilli, the US-based action-siege thriller, Crossfire, to be written by Chad Law and Josh Ridgway. Saban Films picked up the US distribution rights at this year's Cannes Film Festival, and confidence in Renegades is high enough that Sothcott has already suggested a sequel is already in development.
