Boston Red Sox may look to Los Angeles Angels outfielder Taylor Ward in a trade this winter if their pursuit of Alex Bregman falls through.
The Boston Red Sox are looking to add one or two impactful hitters to their roster in order to compete for the World Series in 2025. Initially, infielder Alex Bregman was a rumored target for the Red Sox , but he has since been linked more strongly to the Toronto Blue Jays and Detroit Tigers. If the Red Sox miss out on Bregman , FanSided's Cody Williams suggests they pursue Los Angeles Angels outfielder Taylor Ward in a trade this winter.
While Ward may not be the game-changing addition Bregman would be, he offers versatility defensively and has a proven track record of success against left-handed pitching. The Red Sox would still need to make other moves to solidify their roster, but acquiring Ward would be a logical step in the right direction
