Star Wars' Artoo and Chopper feud in D-Squad preview.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Warning! This article contains spoilers for Star Wars: Dark Droids - D-Squad #1 Two of the most iconic Rebel droids in Star Wars history are R2-D2 and C1-10P, who’s better known as Chopper. Artoo is a classic character who’s been a part of Star Wars lore since the original trilogy, while Chopper made his debut in Star Wars: Rebels and quickly became a fan-favorite.

Star Wars: Dark Droids - D-Squad is an upcoming tie-in series that will follow R2-D2, WAC-47, and the rest of the original D-Squad who first appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 5, episodes 10-13. In a preview for the first issue of the new series, it seems Chopper from Star Wars: Rebels will be joining the established team as well, as they fight back against the evil entity that’s robbing droids of their autonomy, the Scourge.

Chopper & Artoo Are Still At Odds In New Star Wars Series In the preview shared by StarWars.com for Star Wars: Dark Droids - D-Squad #1 by Marc Guggenheim and Salva Espín, the story picks up immediately following the events of Star Wars: Dark Droids #2 when a Scourge-infected C-3PO jettisons Artoo into space. Artoo is then picked up by his former D-Squad ally, WAC-47, and the two travel to another world for ship repairs.

Bringing these two iconic Star Wars droids together is an amazing moment for fans of the series . As previously mentioned, Artoo and Chopper are two of the most popular and beloved droids in Star Wars, and both of them played integral roles for the Rebellion during the Galactic Civil War, and in the years that followed upon the establishment of the New Republic.

While it seems inevitable that the two droids will be forced to put their differences aside for the greater good of their mission, the fact that they’re just as annoyed with each other as they were when they first met in Rebels is absolutely hilarious, and incredibly entertaining.
