The shooting injured a man, 39, who was on his way to synagogue in Chicago's West Ridge neighborhood.

The update comes as Jewish organizations held a press conference and spoke out about the shooting, asking the city of Chicago for more support for the Jewish community.Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi, 22, faces 14 felony counts, including six for attempted first-degree murder and seven for aggravated discharge of a firearm at officers and firefighters, Chicago Police Supt. Larry Snelling said Monday during a press conference.
