The Comets went ahead 62-60 when Delaney Gibb drove for a basket with 49.9 seconds left in the fourth quarter.Gibb responded with another basket — with eight seconds remaining — that was ultimately the difference.She finished with 31 points, 15 rebounds, five steals, four assists and three blocked shots.Article content

Over three games, Gibb — a Grade 11 student and national-level player who is already being recruited by numerous NCAA Division 1 teams — had 103 points.The senior boys MVP was the Magrath Zeniths’ Dave Hansen, who had 33 points — including 26 in the first half — in Saturday’s 102-71 championship-game victory over the Saskatoon Walter Murray Marauders.

The senior boys all-stars were Riley Clanton , Aiden Arcus , Dilyn Morin , Lance Mangaron and Nick Samba .
