Rapper YG has been arrested just ahead of his scheduled performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday.
The 29-year-old Compton rapper, whose real name is Keenon Jackson, was taken into custody by the Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies Friday on suspicion of robbery.
"Detectives served a search warrant this morning … in the furtherance of an on-going criminal investigation," reads a police report provided to USA TODAY by Deputy James Nagao."YG, a resident at the home, was taken into custody at the time of the pursuant to an arrest warrant." He was booked at Men's Central Jail in Los Angeles and is being held on $250,000 bail ahead of his arraignment Tuesday, Nagao said.
