Rapper Tory Lanez briefly jailed for social media posts in Megan Thee Stallion shooting case
Lanez's lawyer, Shawn Holley, claims Lanez did not violate the order and praised the court for rejecting the prosecutor's bail requests.Lanez was initially accused of assaulting Megan after allegedly shooting her in the foot in July 2020 in Hollywood Hills. He was arrested July 13 following the shooting, posted $35,000 bail and was released the same day.
"I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me," MeganLanez was officially charged with felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm, personal use of a firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle in October 2020, according toThe next court hearing will be in September.
