“All I know is that I can control what I can control and as soon as I get to a roster, I can prove myself once again.” Bennett, a 6-foot-3, 230-pound prospect from Weston, Fla., is eligible for the draft because his mother Patricia is from Regina. That was also the reason he came to Saskatchewan in 2021 after two seasons of NCAA Division 1 football at Florida Atlantic University.
In his final season in the Canada West conference in 2022, Bennett set a University of Regina single-season record with eight sacks. He also tied a school record with 10.5 tackles for losses, which led to him to being named a Canada West all-star and first-team U Sports all-Canadian. He then showed well at the CFL combine and was recently ranked 16
