Highs will warm near 70 through early next week for parts of SouthcentralANCHORAGE, Alaska - It will be a tale of two different weather patterns across Alaska. Summer will build back into Southcentral and Southeast, with rainy and windy conditions expected to impact Western Alaska . While the Interior can still see some rain showers in the forecast, warmer weather looks to hold off until next week.
Summer returns this weekend, with sunshine and warmth. Highs will likely stay in the mid to upper 60s, with an outside chance a few locations could warm into the 70s.Things are drying out across Southeast following several days of rain showers. Sunshine is already building back into the Panhandle, with a stretch of sunny weather in store. Temperatures will slowly warm over the coming days, with highs today in the mid to upper 60s.
As the rain comes to an end, the ridge to the south will influence the weather. Sunshine and plenty of it returns through next week, with highs topping out in the upper 70s and lower 80s.The Slope is set to see a rebound in warmth, as highs over the coming days warm into the 50s and 60s. Some of the warmest weather will be for Prudhoe Bay and areas east.
