Charlottesville schools closed for second consecutive day following racist online threat

A threat against Charlottesville High School was reported to the police on Wednesday afternoon, according to the police department. "We would like to acknowledge and condemn the fact that this threat was racially charged," Charlottesville City Schools said in a letter sent to parents and posted on its website on Thursday evening notifying them of Friday's closures."The entire staff and School Board stand in solidarity with our students of color.
