Last week, Ball, 50, was named the lone finalist to lead Southwest ISD when its longtime superintendent, Lloyd Verstuyft, steps down June 30. By March 6, the search firm will present a leadership profile for the board to approve, then will screen candidates based on it. The search firm doesn’t recommend “rushing anything on this decision,” and no matter how far along the process is, applications won’t close until a candidate is chosen, HYA Associate Rick Berry told the board.
