Episode 7 of the spinoff saw Cate kill Indira, effectively putting an end to the Supe virus being manufactured in the Woods. As the show approaches its final episode, Cate appears poised to lead the kidnapped Supes under Godolkin University on a violent revolt against the school.
Speaking with Variety, Fazekas has unveiled that the season 1 finale will offer a cliffhanger for both The Boys season 4 and Gen V season 2. How Gen V’s Ending Can Tie Into The Boys It appears the final episode of the spinoff will focus on the core students defending Godolkin from Cate’s army of Supes. Because of this, the final episode will no doubt feature tense superhuman battles throughout. This is made all the more tense because of the Supe virus created in the Woods, which at least one of its victims is infected with.
The season 1 finale will also see the return of Vought CEO Ashley Barrett, who made a cameo appearance in episode 3. Because of how important a character she is in the main series, it’s possible what she experiences here will directly tie into The Boys season 4. This means other cameos are also possible, including someone like Hughie or even Homelander showing up.
However, the only certainty is that Gen V episode 8 will end the show’s current storyline while also setting up the next chapter for its universe. Viewers may discover the outcome of Cate’s rebellion, as well as what Victoria Neuman did with the virus after killing Dr. Cardosa. With plenty of action and many questions left to be answered, the final episode seems it will deliver an exciting end to the spinoff’s beginning.
