Sam Wilson and the Red Hulk in Captain America Brave New World
Captain America: Brave New World is set to launch the newest version of the iconic Marvel Cinematic Universe hero, and the movie's director has addressed how Sam Wilson is able to take on Red Hulk without any superpowers. While previous versions of Captain America in both John Walker and Steve Rogers were powered with the Super Soldier Serum, Sam Wilson is not.
"These guys are incredible fighters, and Sam has been there and back. He's got some tricks up his sleeve, and over the course of the film there are things he comes to learn that become other tools in his arsenal, when he's facing even the most impossible of threats." What The Captain America: Brave New World Director's Comments Mean The Captain American And Red Hulk Fight Will Not Be Based Only On Power Close Onah's comments make sense for the upcoming story, as a physical confrontation between Red Hulk and Sam Wilson based on raw power would surely not work out for the latter. Even a character like Steve Rogers, who has received the Super Soldier Serum, would likely lose against any Hulk.

However Red Hulk's strength is established, it is key that Captain America find a way to defeat or outmanouevre him.
