A growing number of millennial and Generation Z Korean celebrities have been seen with wired earphones lately.

THE latest viral messages and social media advertisements about cash aid now claim that RM1,000 is being given out for Ramadan.

The messages claim that many applicants have successfully received the money. Of course, those interested are requested to click on a link to furnish their particulars.According to a video clip on RTM's Biar Betul programme, it is"clickbait and a strategy to invite more people to like the page or for advertisement income".Those who click on such links risk their personal details falling into the wrong hands, it added.

"Do not fall for scams and report such activities to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission," it said.
