How would our research fare? How would our research funding fare? You know, all of these things were open to question. So I would say that we’ve exceeded expectations; ourfor the seventh or eighth year in a row. Not all universities in the country can say that their numbers went up, either. Q: You’re in the middle of a four-year funding agreement with the province; between higher enrolment and unprecedented inflation, how long until the university needs significantly more money?

We also work closely with the City of Saskatoon because they have their own needs regarding how land is developed, whether it’s theirs or whether it’s ours. It hasimplications, infrastructure implications, traffic pattern and density implications and all sorts of things — so we work collectively on this.
