Rick Bragg , Pulitzer Prize-winning writer, journalist, and best-selling author, will present a keynote address in celebration of Wallace Community College-Dothan's 75th Anniversary on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Bencze Theatre in Cherry Hall on the Wallace Campus in Dothan.
As a native of Alabama, Bragg recognizes the importance of community colleges and the opportunities they provide for students and for the workforce. As an advocate for education and as a premier storyteller for our state, his keynote address will serve to highlight the tremendous work occurring in education and to celebrate 75 years of WCCD’s incredible contributions.
Prior to his public keynote address, Bragg will lead a joint professional development session for humanities faculty from WCCD, Enterprise State Community College, and LBW Community College. This session for Alabama Community College System faculty from those institutions further highlights Bragg’s commitment to education and the role of community colleges in Alabama.
