Prosecutors: Matt Araiza was not present during alleged gang rape. Araiza was dropped by the Buffalo Bills after rape accusations were made. Araiza is thankful the truth has exonerated him.
SAN DIEGO – San Diego State alumnus and former Buffalo Bills Punter, Matt Araiza, who was accused of rape last year, has broken his silence after prosecutors said he was not present during the alleged incident.
In a statement to Pro Football Talk, Araiza said “I am deeply gratified for the thorough work of the DA’s office in San Diego and for all the witnesses that were willing to come forward to tell the truth. I am thankful that the facts of this case as provided by the witnesses will prove that what I have been saying from the beginning is in fact the truth.”
