A Mobile woman charged with fatally stabbing her boyfriend can be heard in the background of a 911 call telling a 9-year-old child to tell the operator that someone else did it, a prosecutor said Tuesday.

The stabbing occurred on Aug. 22 at Charleston Apartment Homes on Sollie Road. Police said they found 33-year-old Taylor Rawlins dead inside the apartment.Heathcoe’s lawyer, Leslie McElderry, said outside the courtroom that the stabbing was the culmination of a tumultuous relationship that previously had resulted in domestic violence charges against both of them. She suggested that Rawlins was the aggressor on Aug. 22.
“There was a violence incident that led up to this,” she said after the hearing. “This did not just spring up out of nowhere.” “Your honor needs to hear the actual facts at the preliminary hearing before making a decision on bond,” he said. “She didn’t show up for court when she was supposed to.”
