Those in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood are making their position very clear with city officials over continued crime: act now.

Damage is seen after a crash-and-grab burglary at Have a Heart cannabis dispensary in Belltown on July 31, 2024. The incident occurred on Blanchard Street, near Seattle 's Regrade Park. The shop's general manager said a vehicle smashed through the front window overnight and several people with bags and laundry baskets raided the store before quickly leaving in another vehicle.

The other initial group of suspects drove off in a getaway car. They have not been found. Tom Graff, who leads the neighborhood group Belltown United is furious. He feels that the intersection of 2nd & Blanchard is a mess, and the crash and grabs just piles on. A customer who got turned away from the store because it was closed and under repairs described what’s happening here in one word: “sad.”
