An email from a prison guard had warned the Chester County Prison at least a month before convicted murderer Danilo Cavalcante was planning an escape.
Danelo Souza Cavalcante is taken into custody at the Pennsylvania State Police barracks at Avondale Pa., on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023. on Aug. 31 because he didn't want “this to come back on us or Hernandez in any way," according to an email exchange made public.
Capt. Griswold then forwarded the email shortly afterward to the prison's acting warden, Howard Holland, saying “This was sent to me this afternoon and I have not forwarded it to anyone else. I am not sure how you want to move forward with this information internally.”
