She also connected with Katherine Field, a 45-year-old patient undergoing chemotherapy at the hospital, revealing her own attachment to her port mechanism for treatment and jokingly sharing her initial hesitation when told it could be removed.Princess Kate initially disclosed her cancer diagnosis in March 2024, following tests conducted after a planned abdominal surgery in January revealed the presence of cancer.
