Prince William and Duchess Kate are heading to Pakistan.
Prince William and Duchess Kate engage in a walkabout in Ballymena town centre on February 28, 2019 in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will make the official visit in the fall of this year, Kensington Palace announced in a press release.According to the release, the High Commissioner for Pakistan, Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, said the government and the people of Pakistan"warmly welcome" the royal couple's announcement of their visit.
The commissioner added that Pakistan's people"still cherish and fondly recall" Queen Elizabeth II's visits to the country in 1961 and 1997. "The upcoming Royal Visit is a reflection of the importance the United Kingdom attaches to its relations with Pakistan," the commissioner's statement continued.
