Mayers is on trial for allegedly assaulting 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari. Jafari alleged that he did not know who Mayers was and asked if he had seen his friends before the alleged altercation began. Jafari's lawyer claimed that Jafari received injuries to his face, arms, and hands.
