President-elect Donald Trump made a surprising announcement on Wednesday, selecting Rep. Matt Gaetz as his choice for attorney general. Also on Wednesday, Trump announced he has selected Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida to be the next secretary of state and former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard to serve as the Director of National Intelligence.Gaetz, who currently represents Florida's 1st Congressional District, serves on the House Judiciary Committee.
The Trump loyalist has been critical of the Justice Department for bringing federal charges against the former president.
