The Green Ranger Should Never Stand Alone As Green Ranger Matt finds out the hard way, such a short blade puts him at a serious disadvantage against opponents with longer reach. While the Dagger does have the capability of firing blasts of energy, that is still not as useful in a close-quarters combat scenario, and the Power Rangers rely heavily on their fighting skills first and foremost. Tommy, as the White Ranger, is one of the most experienced members of the team.
It is that inside knowledge – along with the help of his teammates – that gives White Ranger Tommy the edge over new Green Ranger Matt. Despite their individual strengths, the Power Rangers are a team for a reason. Not every weapon generated by the Morphin Grid is going to be the right tool for every scenario, and clearly the Dragon Dagger has its limitations up close with multiple foes.
