Truthfully, Rita Repulsa carries scorn for every single one of the Mighty Morphin crew. Those meddlesome teenagers with attitude would foil her plans for world domination every single week, so she naturally has contempt for all of them.
The cover art depicts a staredown between the Pink Ranger and the Empress of Evil. Whether it's done intentionally or not, the staredown showcases just how bitter a feud Kimberly and Rita have had over the years, especially in the midst of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Return. Granted, the Pink Ranger does not permanently kill Rita. On the brink of death, Rita is forced to send herself into the Morphin Grid as a last-ditch means of survival. Not only that, but the repercussions of Kimberly's actions are grand enough to spawn a new generation of evil in the form of Rita's daughter, Selena Repulsa, who returns for revenge.
