As of now, the next confirmed It project is the 2025 TV show Welcome to Derry. Also involving Muschietti, Welcome to Derry is a prequel series to the It movies. A number of the show’s roles have been cast, but the actor playing Pennywise has not yet been announced. This leaves the door wide open for Skarsgård to potentially star in the series.
With the 2025 release date coming and thus necessitating production to take place, it seems too coincidental that Muschietti and Skarsgård would both be in Toronto for now. Furthermore, Skarsgård’s response that he doesn’t “want to spoil it” entirely suggests that there will be a big surprise to come, which in this case seems likely to be an appearance in Welcome to Derry.
