Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellow position at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, Sinai Health, to participate in our CIHR-funded program in. The preterm human infant is vulnerable to neurotoxicity due to immaturity of the blood-brain barrier. The developing brain has intrinsic protective transporter systems that can prevent transfer of xenobiotics into the brain. However, little is known as to how these transporters are regulated during the fetal and perinatal period.
All employees and affiliates will follow safe work practices and comply with health and safety policies, procedures, and training. Successful candidates will be required to provide three written reference letters from their former employer/supervisor. The Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute is a scent sensitive environment, and all members of the community are expected to refrain from wearing or using scented products while visiting or working at the Institute. We also support a barrier-free workplace supported by the Institute’s accessibility plan, accommodation and disability management policies and procedures.
