A possible freeway shooting closed part of Interstate 580 in East Oakland Thursday afternoon, according to a source.
An Alameda County judge ruled the third defendant in the Jasper Wu case will not stand trial for murder charges.
Officers shut down all lanes of the freeway while they conducted a sweep of the roadway. Withing a couple of hours at least two lanes reopned. No further details were immediately available.Sources tell KTVU a freeway shooting shut down all westbound lanes of Interstate 580 on Thursday. The shooting happened during the 2 o'clock hour. CHP says no one was hurt and could not confirm the shooting.
