Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a 2016 Malibu who struck a female pedestrian while she crossing the street leaving her seriously injured.
A female pedestrian was struck and seriously injured while crossing the street at 79th St. and East End Ave. on March 16, 2023. The vehicle is described as a light color, 2013 – 2016 Chevrolet Malibu with Illinois plates.
Police are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a 2016 Malibu who struck a female pedestrian while she was crossing the street, leaving her seriously injured. About 8:40 p.m. Thursday, the pedestrian was attempting to cross 79th Street and East End Avenue when she was hit by a Malibu traveling west on 79th. The vehicle kept going after striking the victim, police said.The victim was taken in critical condition to the University of Chicago Medical Center, police said.
The vehicle was described as a light-colored 2013 to 2016 Chevrolet Malibu with Illinois plates. Police said the vehicle has right-side front end, hood and windshield damage. The Malibu also has a long dark mark on the driver-side door.Anyone with information on the accident should contact police.
