Police are providing an update Tuesday on the school shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison , Wisconsin , that resulted in the deaths of a teenage student and a teacher. Five students and one teacher sustained injuries ranging from minor to life-threatening during the shooting on Monday. The identities of the deceased student and teacher will be released after their families are notified. The shooter, identified as 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow , was found dead.
Rupnow, who went by Samantha, was a student at the school and appears to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police did not discharge their weapons. Authorities are investigating how Rupnow obtained the gun and are working with her family. A motive remains unknown
