Officers of the Salt Lake City Police Department said that 34-year-old Tayvin Troy Brandon was killed Oct. 26 around 2:15 a.m. near 2256 South 1100 East. The homicide suspect, a 46-year-old man, reportedly remained on the scene and was cooperative with officers and detectives.After shots were fired and Brandon was struck, he was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition where he later died.
Officers stated that the shooter in this case has not been arrested and no charges have been filed, adding that detectives will work alongside investigators to determine if his use of force was criminal.
