Officers and firefighters made the grim discovery about 1 p.m. on June 5.
FREMONT — The names of a woman and her two young children, all of whom died in what police said was a double murder-suicide, were released Friday afternoon by police.
Officers and firefighters found the 1-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl dead along with their mother June 5 at a residence in the 40000 block of Inglewood Common, according to Fremont police. Police found a knife in the home. Police on Friday identified the three as 28-year-old Evelin Lemus Garcia; 4-year-old Estefany Florian Lemus and 1-year-old Emiliano Florian Lemus.
The identities were delayed until some family in Central America were contacted. Police said Friday that the boy’s father hoped that releasing their names would bring awareness to mental health and mental health services that are available for those who need them.
