Thunderstorms may move through late this afternoon into early evening with some brief, small hail and downpours. We could see a second — but slightly weaker — round of steadier rain, even some thunder, late tonight as well. Stray showers are possible anytime from now into early evening tomorrow.
Evening storms and a couple of downpours remain possible. Showers may linger through much, if not all, of the night before a slight chance of a second round of thunder and downpour. The night is unlikely to be constantly wet, but an umbrella seems wise to tote along if out for a while. A few gusts from the south near 15 mph are possible during any downpours or storms. Temperatures bottom out in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Showers and storms remain slightly possible almost anytime but may favor the early morning, midday to midafternoon, and tapering by evening hours as we turn clearer and calmer. We could even see some fog late at night toward dawn as temperatures bottom within a few degrees of 50.The northern lights remain possible tonight with a solar storm continuing. It is worth scanning the entire horizon and overhead to see where the latest energy is placed in relation to you. That being said, the further south from the north pole you are, the more likely the preferred horizon for glancing will be looking from northwest to northeast.
