We spend the end of the workweek seeing much-needed rainfall in the area. It could amount to half an inch or an inch.
Today was a tamer kind of summer heat, with highs making the upper 80s to low 90s in most spots. It extended this heat wave to eight days in the city. I doubt many will be too sad to see it end briefly tomorrow. We could really use some rain, and our best chance in a while is inbound for Friday. In addition to a dousing for much of the region, daytime temperatures will also be cooler than they’ve been in some time.
It’ll be a decent evening and night. Lows end up across the 70s as some clouds float by and perhaps increase before dawn. Maybe a couple showers around by sunrise, with lows ranging across the 70s.A real change of pace to end the workweek. Clouds and showers dot the area most of the day, especially midmorning and beyond. Highs reach the low to mid-80s. There could be a widespread half inch to an inch or so.
