Mauricio Garces, 34, represented by attorney Evan Levow, made his first appearance in Secaucus municipal court Tuesday morning, via Zoom, and pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence and reckless driving on Secaucus Road while off-duty at 3 a.m. on July 2. During the four-minute hearing, Levow said Secaucus Municipal Prosecutor Michael Bukatman “and I are already discussing how to resolve this,” when asked by Judge Karen Boylan if he planned to have an expert testify at some point. Levow could not be reached for comment Tuesday.
