Daily News | Philly has yet another weird mascot — and we don’t know what it is
In this July 15, 1985 file photo, Baltimore Stars' Scott Woerner hugs teammate Bill Hardee after winning the USFL Championship football game in East Rutherford, N.J. The team played in Philadelphia before moving to Baltimore. The Philadelphia Stars are now returning as part of the revamped United States Football League, and they unveiled a mascot Monday.Philadelphia’s newest mascot resembles a wingless bat or devil.
