Bryce Harper hit a two-run home run in his first game back from paternity leave

The Philadelphia Phillies got back into the win column on Thursday afternoon, getting their second shutout victory of the series against the Cincinnati Reds , 5-0. Phillies starter Zach Wheeler picked up his second win of the season, going six innings, allowing just one hit, no runs, allowing four walks and striking out eight. Wheeler got into some trouble in the bottom of the third inning, allowing two walks and a single, loading the bases for the Reds.

With a 3-2 count against Reds' Spencer Steer, Wheeler was able to get out of the inning unscathed after Steer flew out to right field. Bryce Harper added a two-run home run in the first game back from paternity leave and Trea Turner remained hot, going 3-5 at the plate. The Phillies also got two RBIs from Bryson Stott on a triple in the third and a single in the sixth inning. Kyle Schwarber also recorded an RBI on a sacrifice fly, scoring Stott.
