Residents of Susquehanna Township are upset after the school board decided to not bring back popular head football coach, Joe Headen for the 2025-2026 school ye
ar.
Headen had been coach for over 20 years and quickly gained favor with the community; so much so that a petition was started to reverse the decision. Coach believed in me more than I believed in myself. Both in life and in football. He was the one push factor that made me turn my life around and I’m forever grateful.
Coach Headen has helped so many young men go to college as well as become great pillars in the community. I feel that the committee has lost touch with what the goal is with football at Hanna.
