Peso Pluma’s music ranges from love ballads and danceable hip-hop influenced singles, but some of his most popular songs are rooted in the narcocorrido genre — music focusing on the exploits and lifestyles of drug traffickers and cartels, Vice reported. One song, “Siempre Pendientes,” features lyrics about Joaquin Guzman Loera, better known as El Chapo. Pluma performed this song on Sept. 10 in front of a massive crowd gathered for a two-day music festival in Mexico City, the outlet reported.
