DUBLIN — The California Highway Patrol is seeking more witnesses to a two-car crash on an East Bay freeway that killed a person early Sunday.
The wreck happened about 2:35 a.m. on the right shoulder of westbound Interstate 580 east of Eden Canyon Road. According to the CHP, a white 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer veered onto the right shoulder and hit a 2021 Ford E-Transit van. The CHP said the van’s driver was outside the vehicle and hit by the Trailblazer.The CHP is trying to find out what happened in the moments leading up to the crash, as well as seeking more details on the crash itself.
