Firefighters arrived to a blaze in the 7900 block of Simpkins Drive to find the home engulfed by heavy fire and smoke.Plano Fire-Rescue firefighters said a person and a pet died in an early morning house fire on Monday.
Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire on the back half of home with flames reaching above the nearby treetops, the department stated. During the search, fire department crews found a deceased person in a front room and a deceased pet in another room, the report states.
